Meredith Corning PR is proud to share that our client, Vibrant Occasions Catering, has won the 2026 ACE Award for Catered Micro Event of the Year for FUSION360°. The award was announced at Catersource + The Special Event in Los Angeles, after FUSION360° was named one of three finalists in its category. This marks the second ACE Award win for Vibrant Occasions, following its 2024 recognition for Dinner on the River, and it is the capstone on a PR campaign that ran for more than half a year and reached readers from Little Rock to Rome.
The award is the headline. The story underneath it is how one intimate dinner, 15 guests around a single table, was built from the start to keep working long after the last course was cleared.
One Event, Many Angles
The discipline that defines our work at MCPR is designing an event so that it generates coverage across many outlets rather than one. A single dinner can become a philanthropy story, a food and wine feature, a rehearsal dinner concept, and a holiday editorial, each shaped for a different publication and a different readership.
That range was planned, not accidental. We pitched each outlet the angle most likely to resonate with its readers: the five-country concept as rehearsal dinner inspiration for a national wedding audience at Wedding Chicks, and the cross-cultural table as holiday entertaining for an international title. The evening's Arkansas Foodbank partnership, a cause built into the event from the start, also gave Inviting Arkansas a meaningful community story to tell. The event was built to support all of it. The wine pairings were documented so they could anchor a food-and-wine feature, and arrangements on the main table were designed in deep reds and burgundies so they would read beautifully as holiday content when that placement came. The opportunities were intentional, with each story angle developed for a specific editorial audience. Each story was an angle we shaped into the event and then placed where it belonged.
The result was a campaign that kept producing. One night, many stories, each tailored to a different readership.
The Coverage
FUSION360° earned placements across local, national, and international press over the course of the campaign.
Inviting Arkansas ran the event several ways, in print and online. First came the philanthropy feature, "FUSION360° is Breaking Bread and Building Bridges," timed to Hunger Action Month and the Arkansas Foodbank partnership. The October print issue carried a Wine & Dine tablescape spread, and the coverage extended online with an event party-pics gallery and a Wine & Dine recipe feature, giving the event both editorial and social presence across formats.
Wedding Chicks, a national wedding publication, featured the concept reimagined as wanderlust rehearsal dinner inspiration, an angle we pitched to open the event to an entirely new audience of couples and wedding planners.
The Style Researcher, an international magazine based in Rome and accredited by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, published a holiday editorial titled "Heritage, Holiday and Home," positioning the cross-cultural approach as a seasonal entertaining trend.
Trend Privé Magazine, in both print and online, carried a different kind of feature entirely, "FUSION360° Botanical Atlas Evocation + Artistry," a fine-art treatment of Althea Wiles and her botanical work for the event. Rather than covering FUSION360° as a dinner, the piece framed her country-specific arrangements as cultural artifacts and positioned Althea as an artist working across traditions, a placement built to elevate her brand rather than the event itself.
Across the campaign, each placement reinforced the others, extending FUSION360°'s visibility well beyond the event itself. The ACE Award became another milestone in a story that continued to unfold long after the dinner.
Alongside the guest perspective, Weaver Films produced a cinematic film of the evening, giving the campaign a polished, full-scale piece to anchor websites, social channels, and ongoing promotion.
We also brought content creator Karen Alejandri (@kaypxoedit) onto the team for the night to capture a more personal, candid side of the evening, styled differently from the editorial coverage. Those images became a set of polaroid-style keepsakes that give the campaign a warmer, behind-the-scenes texture the formal photography does not.
Professional photography by Lori Sparkman Photography supplied the editorial imagery that ran in print, while the licensed guest content fueled the social rollout. Every asset was built to be used again, which is the point. A campaign designed this way does not end when the event does.
Three Kinds of Photography, Three Kinds of Press
Not all imagery opens the same doors, so FUSION360° was shot with more than one outcome in mind.
The warm, candlelit tablescape photography, the glassware, the florals, the plated courses in their setting, was made for lifestyle and entertaining editors. That imagery is what carried the Inviting Arkansas spreads and the holiday feature, where readers want to picture themselves at the table.
The botanical work was shot a second way entirely. Against stark white backgrounds and elevated like gallery pieces, the arrangements were photographed as fine art rather than event decor. That body of imagery is what made the Trend Privé placement possible, because it let us pitch Althea as an artist and her work as a collection, not a florist and her centerpieces. Same flowers, different frame, a different caliber of publication.
The food and wine were shot a third way, as clean product photography: each course and each pairing styled on its own, close and crisp, the way a culinary publication wants to see a dish. That set is what landed the Hunter Magazine feature, where the food itself was the story and the editorial needed images that could stand alone on the page.
Planning the photography to serve distinct editorial appetites is what let a single evening speak to a lifestyle magazine, a wedding title, a culinary publication, and an art-minded international title at once.
The Throughline
FUSION360° proves what happens when event strategy and public relations are designed together from the first idea. The dinner was built for 15 people and reached far beyond the room, through the guests who shared it, the publications that featured it, and now an ACE Award for Catered Micro Event of the Year.
Meredith Corning PR is proud to have shaped the campaign that carried it there, and we congratulate Vibrant Occasions Catering and the entire team on this well-deserved recognition.
