The Power of Collaboration

At Meredith Corning PR and our sister company, Meredith Events, we believe in the power of partnerships and creating memorable events that leave a lasting impact. We had the pleasure of planning and executing the Dinner on the River campaign, a special event that showcased our lovely PR client and talented floral designer, Althea Wiles of Rose of Sharon Floral Design Studio and J Althea Creative. In this blog post, we will delve into why we embarked on this campaign, the significance of partnering with influencers, and the philanthropic component that made this initiative truly special.

Strengthening Relationships
As a PR agency, it is one of our objectives to support our clients and facilitate collaborations that elevate their brand. Althea Wiles, with her expertise in floral design and her flourishing business, was the perfect fit for this endeavor. We have had the privilege of working with Althea on various projects, including our annual influencer partnership event for our catering client, Vibrant Occasions. Her exquisite floral creations have always added an extra touch of elegance and beauty to these events. From a PR perspective, it is essential for Althea to engage in such initiatives as they allow her to showcase her work on projects that will reach new audiences and provide an opportunity to be part of an elevated and internationally published endeavor, thus further establishing her as a respected figure in the industry.

Creating Visual Impact
In addition to promoting Althea's talent, we recognize the importance of updating her branding photography to align with her evolving business. Therefore, prior to these events, we always plan a lifestyle photoshoot to capture Althea's personality and showcase her brand on a personal level. These visuals not only provide fresh content for her marketing and promotional materials but also serve as a testament to evolving artistic prowess. By incorporating Althea's branding photography into our event promotions, we effectively create more opportunities to reach a wider audience on Althea’s behalf.

The Philanthropic Component
We firmly believe in giving back to the community and supporting meaningful causes. The Dinner on the River campaign served as a kick-off dinner for local philanthropist Cat Sims' participation in the Dancing with Our Stars fundraising campaign, benefiting the Arkansas Chapter of Children's Tumor Foundation. This gala is vital for raising funds and driving awareness about neurofibromatosis (NF), which affects many lives. By collaborating with Althea and other local vendors, we were able to elevate awareness to this worthy cause while showcasing Althea's exceptional floral designs.

Althea's Creativity Shines
Althea's contributions to Dinner on the River were nothing short of magical. With her keen eye for detail and innovative approach, she curated the perfect floral centerpieces using peach ranunculus, peach-orange parrot tulips, and the unique Inirida flower. Inspired by the vibrant décor of the event, Althea crafted minimalistic designs that allowed the blooms to take center stage, with polished river rock and kenzan providing a sustainable and visually appealing base. To add further delight, she handcrafted brooches and bracelets using live flowers, giving each guest a memorable and wearable keepsake.

Amplifying Success

The success of the Dinner on the River campaign extended far beyond the event itself, as it garnered attention and recognition at local, national, and international levels. This exceptional initiative was featured on reputable platforms such as Inviting Arkansas, 360 Magazine, Pump Magazine, and Figgi Magazine, amplifying its reach and highlighting the collaborative efforts of all involved. Furthermore, a series of well-crafted press releases were strategically distributed, ensuring that the impact of the event reverberated across various media outlets crediting each participating member. The visual storytelling aspect was equally impactful, with a trendy reel produced by Weaver Films and stunning photography by Lori Sparkman Photography capturing the essence of the evening. Additionally, the candid images shared by guests and vendors on social media created widespread engagement and resharing, contributing to the comprehensive and impactful nature of the PR campaign.

The Dinner on the River PR campaign exemplifies our commitment to strategic collaborations, the power of influencer partnerships, and the importance of supporting charitable initiatives. We are proud to have worked alongside Althea Wiles, showcasing her talent while lending our support to the Arkansas Chapter of Children's Tumor Foundation. Such endeavors not only enhance our clients' visibility and reputation but also inspire others within the PR industry to consider similar approaches for their own campaigns.
